"Alright, Alright, Alright" the time is here! Well almost ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ A League Of Ice & Fire is coming back soon, and reworked/remade as a brand new...A League Of Ice & Fire II !!! I know right! The team site has been activated so if you guys feel nostalgic of last years team, or want to remind yourselves of the scoring rules, feel free to go check it out.
Now to get down to some business, I will need to hear back from everyone regarding certain decisions that need to be made for this season. If you don't reply I will be forced to use my COMMISSIONER POWERS and rule as I see fit! You can reply through text, email, raven, or by commenting on the Facebook post that will accompany this email. I will also post surveys on the fantasy site that you will be able to use. Don't worry no matter how you wish to be heard, I am listening and will take votes from all platforms into account. Here are the topics up for vote:
1) Time of Draft? Right now it's looking like the draft will be held around the same as last season. So plan on Sunday August 30. I need to know what time of day will work best for everyone. So options are mid-day 1200-1400 or afternoon 1700-2000.
2) Keepers? Do you guys want to do keepers or start fresh this year? If we do keepers it will be 1 Player from your last seasons team. Also you will lose a draft pick that corresponds with when you picked that player last year. So if you keep a player you picked in the 2nd round last season you will lose a 2nd round pick this year and so on and so on. If you keep a player acquired through the waiver wire you will only lose your last pick of the draft. You don't have tell me your keepers now just whether you want to do keepers or not.
3) Rule Changes? Easy question, Are there any rules you'd like to see added or changed? Let me know
4) Team Name Changes? You don't have to change your names if you don't want to, so there is no pressure to do so. But if you do plan on changing your name it would be a real help to me if you let me know as early as possible. I try to do as much as possible to add little photos or videos for everyone's enjoyment in the league, and any heads up I can get regarding things I will need to know helps me out A LOT! Trust me when I say how much this will help me out, and I thank you all for helping me provide quality fun for everyone in the league.
5) New Managers? Okay this one is regarding if we should allow new managers to enter this "Exclusive Best of the Best" league? So let me know if you want to make the league bigger or if you are happy with the way it went last season. And more managers doesn't mean more playoff spots, so there will be less of a chance to make the playoffs, so just a little fact to keep in mind. Also if you are pro more teams, you may be asked for suggestions on who those new managers should be. We were a great league last season due to everyone taking an interest to do there best through the entire season, and any new managers should be willing to do the same. So pretty much don't make a suggestion of someone you know won't really try and may just give up. But like I said if you enjoyed having only 10 teams last season,...if it ain't broke...
So those are your 5 questions everyone. Let me know your opinions as I do not want to become "The Mad King". If there are any other things you think a vote should be made on, I am open to suggestions. Thanks everybody, I am looking forward to providing another fun year of ALOIAF II
And remember...

After input from league (text, email, and facebook) each manager will get to keep “1” player from their 2014-2015 roster to be added to their 2015-2016 roster. Please follow the directions below on how to submit your keepers. You will have up to 1 hour before the draft to make your decision on 1 player you would like to keep.
How To
1) Go to ALOIAF II main league page
2) Select My Team from the main menu
3) Select Keepers from dropdown menu
4) Check box of player from last season
5) Click Submit Keepers when done
So how the "Keepers" will affect the draft is actually very little. The first round will pretty much be the keeper round. Each team will have the player that they have already set as their "keeper" assigned to them in the first round, and the second round will be when teams will select new players. Because of this "keeper round" the draft will not "snake" between rounds one and two. So if you have the first pick of the draft, you will have the first picks from round one and two, and the draft will then snake from round three on.
Now the draft order has already been randomly selected by the computer early this year. I set this up early this year so we can experiment with "draft trades". This means you now will be able to trade draft picks amongst other team owners.
-
Example: Team Joffrey wishes to trade his first round pick to Crows b4 Hoes for her first and second round pick.
Any additional picks you may acquire through trades will not allow you to go over the 18 player limit. So if you trade your first for a buttload of first, second, and third rounders you will draft as normal with your normal picks as well as the recently traded for picks until you reach 18 players when your draft will be over. You don't necessarily need to trade your first round pick, or any picks for that matter, but now you will be able to if you so choose to. I will release the draft order, for those not computer savy enough to locate it on their own, at the end of July. Giving everyone plenty of time to study and decide if trading picks is right for them, and also to start any pre-draft trade negotiations. This is why I'm asking if any of you are planning on changing their team names to let me know before then so as to allow a better draft order reveal.
Thank you and remember...

Oysters, Clams & Cockles!
Welcome back to the longest running newsletter of A League of Ice & Fire. Hope everyone had a nice relaxing offseason. Sure some of you spent most of your offseason licking your wounds or maybe even going to some marriage counseling after the roller coaster that was ALOIAF I. Starting with Team Joffrey's early season reign of terror all the way to Team Starks tear through the playoffs, ultimately leading to his claiming of the Iron Throne. We had the surprising Rabbit Town Conejas, who came within a benching of Andrew Luck and winning the league on her first time playing fantasy football. Some other notable newbies were Breastplate Stretchers and The
Unsullied, who also had good first time outings by making the playoffs and winning the Consolation bracket respectively. There were some forgettable performances by Hodor's Hodor's and The Southland, or at least they hope we will forget them. It was I believe a successful first season of ALOIAF.
But the past is in the past, and it's time to move on to ALOIAF II. BIGGER, BADDER, BETTER. After a year of everyone feeling out the rules and their opponents (and for some just learning how to play) I expect this seasons level of play to rise exponentially. More trash talking, more rivalries, more just plain hatred. This years Christmas will be the most awkwardly silent yet!
Some new additions to this year will be the Valyrian Sword Trophies. ESPN offers virtual trophies to be awarded to team owners both weekly and for the whole season, just depending on each trophies criteria. I turned these trophies into different Valyrian Swords found within A Song of Ice & Fire, or as you non-book readers know as Game of Thrones, universe. Each sword comes with its own backstory that I have summarized for you, but feel free to do your own research into each sword. Just beware falling into any show spoilers. R+L=J. The Valyrian Swords can be won by a variety of methods, just go to the league page and trophy case to find out the exact details.
As most of you already know, another addition to the league is the A League of Ice & Fire Facebook Page. All future information regarding the league will now be posted on that page and not my personal page anymore. So if you haven't followed yet I suggest you snap to it. The weekly newsletter will still be sent to your emails as well as posted to the teams website.
Divisions have also been renamed due to a case of because I say so. Division Fire will now go by ADWC: A Dance With Crows. And Division Ice is now AFFD: A Feast For Dragons. All teams will stay within the same divisions as last season. So this change will have absolutely no affect on you and is purely cosmetic.
Will be staring an eliminator league for anyone who wants to join, but all are expected to take part! The league is through ESPN and will be called (surprise, surprise) ALOIAF: ELIMINATOR. For those who have never joined an Eliminator game it's pretty simple. Every week you pick a team you are guaranteed will win (e.g. any team playing the Raiders), but you can only select that team once this season. If the team you choose loses than you are...ELIMINATED. Link for league has been posted (or maybe you've already seen it depending on date of this newsletter) feel free to share it if you like, this league will be open to lords and small folk alike. http://games.espn.go.com/nfl-eliminator-challenge/en/group?groupID=37112&invitesource=email&inviteuser=ezFBMTFDOEUxLTlGNjktNEFBRi1CNjlCLTc4NUMwMUZBNUVFRH0%3D&ex_cid=invite-email-eliminator
Draft Kings also has a million dollar promotion going on for people playing fantasy football through ESPN. The promotion is that the highest scoring team that also plays fantasy football through ESPN (meaning it doesn't necessarily have to be the highest scoring team altogeter) wins a million dollars to split amongst the rest of their ESPN league. So say Team Joffrey is the highest scoring team in this competition who plays in an ESPN league, then he would win $500,000 and the rest of the million would be split amongs the rest of ALOIAF members. So obviously the more from ALOIAF who play increases the chances this league has of winning some dinero. Now this is DFS (daily fantasy sports) so it's a tad different than you guys may be used to, but it's core is pretty much the same. You just pick the best team of players, under the salary cap given, that play on that particular day. Also don't be scared away by the money aspect at first, there are plenty of promotion codes out there to get you playing the first week for free, that includes this million dollar game, and you never have to play again. Who knows you may like the aspect of a new team every week and become a DFS fanatic! If you need a promotion code you can just send me a raven too. If looking for more details just go to the league page and look in the upper right hand corner for the Draft Kings ad.
Lastly (for now) there has been a change of sponsorship. Our weekly BLOWOUT winner will no longer be sponsored by Starkbucks Coffee. With the North now under the control of the Boltons, and the last we saw a "Stark" with any real power, he was being Caesared, left dying in the Snow. "For The Watch!" Due to those reasons I've just laid out, this years ALOIAF BLOWOUT will now be sponsored by Manderly's Pies. The best pie you have ever tasted. Wash it down with Arbor gold and savor every bite. I know I shall.
And now (drum roll) LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
This weeks spotlight matchup has to go to Crows b4 Hoes vs Impin Ain't Easy. After getting knocked out of the playoffs by her bae, Cb4H will be looking for some payback. Although I'm sure Impin will say he's been feeling the payback all offseason. Other notable matchups include a rematch of last seasons Fire Conference Championship and a little sis vs big bro rumble in the jungle.
Here are your week 1 lines:

This Weeks Thursday night game will feature the Pittsburg Steelers vs the New England Deflators. My apologies for the length of this weeks newsletter. I do not forsee future posts needing to be so long. Still I make no promises. With that in mind I'll keep this weeks quote short and simple. So to welcome you all back here's a passage from your good friend Barristan the Bold! (spoiler: he's still alive in the books) Good Luck and hope you all have a fun year in A League of Ice & Fire II
One last thing, sorry, but if you like my commissioner style, feel free to nominate me for the weekly Pizza Hut Commissioner of the week. You can find it at the top right of the league page. I believe you can nominate yours truly each week until I win. Just sayin'
"Gather 'round me men. I know what you are feeling. I have felt the same before a hundred times. Your breath is coming faster than it should, and your belly a knot of fear coils like a cold black worm. You feel as though you need to empty your bladder, maybe your bowels. Your mouth is as dry as the sands of Dorne. What if you shame yourself out there you wonder? What if you forget all your training? You yearn to be a hero, but deep down inside you fear you might be a craven. Every boy feels the same way on the eve of battle. ay, and grown men as well. Those storm crows over there are feeling the same thing, so will the Dothraki. There is no shame in fear unless you let it master you. We all taste terror in our time, but take care that you do not seek death out there or you will surley find it. The stranger comes for all of us, we need not rush into his arms. Whatever might befall us on the eve of battle, remember, it has happened before, and to better men than you. I am an old man, an old knight, and I have seen more battles than most of you have seen years. Nothing is more terrible upon this earth, nothing more glorious, nothing more absurd. You may wretch, you will not be the first. You may drop your sword, your shield, your lance, others have done the same. Pick it up and go on fighting! You may foul your britches, I did in my first battle. No one will care, all battlefields smell of shit. You may cry for you mother, pray for gods you thought you had forgotten, howl obsenities you never dreamed could pass your lips. All this has happened too. Some men die in every battle. More survive. East or west in every inn and wine seat you will find grey beards endlessly refighting the wars of their youths. They survived their battles, so may you. This you can be certain of, the foe you see before you is just another man, and like as not he is as freightened as you. Hate him if you must. Love him if you can. But lift your sword and bring it down and ride on! Above all else keep moving. We are too few to win this battle. We ride to make chaos. To buy the unsullied time enough to make their spear wall. We ride for that dawn. The red dawn. The dragon dawn!"

The Hedge Knights
“No more messages,” he told Ser Franklyn Flowers in the yard. The next thing to come flying from the maester’s tower was the maester. The way his arms were flapping, he might have been mistaken for another bird.”
The first week of the season is always the hardest to predict when it comes to FF. Unlike last season's week 1 domination by the Women of Westeros, the guys stepped it up this year with a sweep of the ladies. Most notably, "Worst to First", The Southland and Hodor's Hodor victories over last season playoff teams. Also Impin continues his FF dominance over Crows b4 Hoes, and I assume making a permanent bed out of the couch.
But back to "Worst to First", The Southland's 229.5-180 GRONKdown of Rabbit Town is this weeks Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT, and this season's highest scoring team of the week (so far). Thus awarding The Southland with not one, but TWO Valeryian Swords, Blackfyre and Dawn. Here are your other sword winners this week:
Dawn - The Southland
Blackfyre - The Southland
Brightroar - Rabbit Town
Nightfall - Crows Before Hoes
This weeks matchups exclude quite a few doozies. We have another husband vs wife revenge match, a mother vs her first born, and a father vs daughter loser goes home (0-2) match.
Here are your week 2 lines:
White Walker Joffrey -41.1 -360
The Unsullied +41.1 +280
Breastplate Stretchers -31.1 -300
The Southland +31.1 +220
Hoder's Hoder +12.6 +135
Crows Before Hoes -12.6 -155
King's Landing Blackfyre -57.1 -450
Rabbit Town Conejas +57.1 +325
House Stark +11.7 +135
Impin Ain't Easy -11.7 -155
This weeks Thursday night game is the Mighty Denver Broncos vs the Kansas City Sous-Chiefs. Last weeks favorites went 3-5, and we have some pretty heavy favorites this week. So don't forget to check the waiver wire everybody, and Good Luck!

The Blackfyre Rebellion
“...“Aegon?” For a moment he did not understand. Then he remembered. A babe swaddled in a crimson cloak, the cloth stained with his blood and brains. “Dead. He’s dead.”
“No.” The eunuch’s voice seemed deeper. “He is here. Aegon has been shaped for rule since before he could walk. He has been trained in arms, as befits a knight to be, but that was not the end of his education. He reads and writes, he speaks several tongues, he has studied history and law and poetry. A septa has instructed him in the mysteries of the Faith since he was old enough to understand them. He has lived with fisherfolk, worked with his hands, swum in rivers and mended nets and learned to wash his own clothes at need. He can fish and cook and bind up a wound, he knows what it is like to be hungry, to be hunted, to be afraid. Tommen has been taught that kingship is his right. Aegon knows that kingship is his duty, that a king must put his people first, and live and rule for them.”
Kevan Lannister tried to cry out … to his guards, his wife, his brother … but the words would not come...”
After his improbable run in last season's postseason, House Stark faced heavy criticism for what some suspected to be an inflated wifi network. Unfortunately House Stark has been anything but helpful during ALOIAF's investigation into these allegations. So with no corroborating evidence, and House Stark unwilling to hand over his cellphone, the league had no choice but to suspend any further inquiries...for now. Either way it appears House Stark has taken these accusations personally, and to prove that he won last season fair and square, has started out this season on a tear to first place.
But enough of that, lets move on to something of far greater importance, ME! Me Me Me Me Me Me! That's right, your commissioner, with a 237-102 win, pulled of the biggest Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT in league history! With this week's BLOWOUT and (for now) this years highest score, make Kings Landing Blackyre the new owner of Dawn and Blackfyre! (fitting right?) Sorry The Southland, but hand them over...
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week3:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Blackfyre - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Brightroar - Rabbit Town
Nightfall - Rabbit Town
This week's matchup to watch has be "The Battle for 3-0". House Stark and Hodor's Hodor both try to remain unbeaten and taking sole position of first place in Division ADWC. On the other end of the spectrum you have Rabbit Town and The Unsullied battling it out to not be last. Crows b4 Hoes going against The Southland might not be the prettiest of matchups, but with two fairly evenly matched teams, may turn out to be this week's most exciting..
Here are your week 3 lines:
Crows Before Hoes pk -110
The Southland pk -110
Rabbit Town Conejas -46.4 -400
The Unsullied +46.4 +300
Impin Ain't Easy -26.9 -240

Breastplate Stretchers +18.5 +170
House Stark -15.6 -175
Hodor's Hodor +15.6 +155
This weeks Thursday night game is the Washington Native Americans @ the New Jersey Giants. Last weeks the favorites once again went 3-2, and a 6-4 season record. We had some pretty big injuries this week so don't forget to check that waiver wire. Good Luck!

The Prince That Was Promised
"Will you make a song for him?" the woman asked."He has a song," the man replied. "He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire." He looked up when he said it and his eyes met Dany's, and it seemed as if he saw her standing there beyond the door. "There must be one more," he said, though whether he was speaking to her or the woman in the bed she could not say. "The dragon has three heads."
Sorry for the late posting of this week's ALOIAF Newsletter. It couldn't be avoided. Sadly this week has been kinda tough on my laptop. First it wouldn't let me sign into my account or access any of my files through other accounts. Fortunately I was able to go through Safe Mode to save all the graphics and videos I've made for this league on my external hard drive before the whole thing crashed. The laptop is now in the shop getting repaired. Until then I won't be able to post much in terms of pictures and videos, and the newsletter will be email only. Hopefully this will all be resolved quickly and I will be able to update the website and deliver the ALOIAF experience you've all become accustomed to. Sorry for going all inside baseball on you, so back to ALOIAF...
Going into Monday night The Southland had pretty much given up. Cursing to the heavens, "Why was Ivory even active!" Down 55pts all seemed doomed. Then slowly the clouds started to part, and The Southland saw a figure off in the distance, his savior, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers threw 1,2,3 touchdowns, and a glimmer of hope, 4,5 touchdowns, could this be the biggest comeback of all time...no. Crows b4 Hoes wins 208.5-200.5.House Stark cemented his hold on Division ADWC by not only beating previously unbeaten Hodor's Hodor, but with a score of 225-144.5, House Stark gave this week's Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! Can Stark go back to back with two injured quarterbacks? Let's hope not.
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 4:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Blackfyre - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Brightroar - Rabbit Town
Nightfall - Rabbit Town
This week's matchup to watch is Hodor's Hodor vs WW Joffrey. Hodor started this season much stronger than last year, but has been on bit of a slide the past two weeks. Joffrey on the opposite spectrum started horribly, and is starting to claw his way back into his division. So this week we may see if this years early results were any indication going forward, or are we starting to see these teams true colors.Other matchups include bro vs bruh, mother vs daughter, and ADWC first vs last place, massacre?
Here are your week 4 lines:
Impin Ain't Easy +10.6 +120
Rabbit Town Conejas -10.6 -140
The Southland -10.3 -140
King's Landing Blackfyre +10.2 +120

Breastplate Stretchers -13.7 -155
White Walker Joffrey -24.4 -220
Hodor's Hodor +24.4 +180
This weeks Thursday night game is the Baltimore Poe's @ the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last weeks favorites went 3-1, for a 9-5 season record. Also don't forget Sunday has a 6:30am London game, so check that waiver wire and get your lineups in early. Good Luck!!

The Lords Of The Crossing
"The Lord of White Harbor bit a sausage in half. “I confess …" He wiped the grease from his lips with his sleeve. "… I confess that I know little of this poor boy. Lord Ramsay’s squire, was he not? How old was the lad?"
"Nine, on his last nameday."
"So young,” said Wyman Manderly."
"Though mayhaps this was a blessing. Had he lived, he would have grown up to be a Frey."
Another week without a computer, another late newsletter. So let's start your morning with a cup of coffee, maybe some turkey bacon and enjoy this week's morning edition of the ALOIAF Newsletter!
Unfortunately this week's games were kind of a dud when it came to fantasy. Sure there were some standout performances, but for the most part we had a lot of no shows. All but two teams scored less than 176pts. The Southland kept things competitive in Division AFFD by ending Blackfyre's undefeated record. While Division ADWC is starting to look a lot like last season with the only 200pt games belonging to House Stark and White Walker Joffrey. Speaking of White Walker Joffrey, he got the 201-135 victory over regressing Hodor's Hodor for this week's Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! And to think it was just a few weeks ago he was left for dead.
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 5:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Blackfyre - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Brightroar - Rabbit Town
Nightfall - Rabbit Town
This week's matchup to watch has to be between ALOIAF 1 seed House Stark, and 2 seed Blackfyre. AFFD vs ADWC! I had a bit of a problem last weekend overthinking my lineup. And let's be honest, the second I placed my week in the hands of Carr, a Raider, all was lost. Let me repeat, I trusted a player from the Raiders! I deserved to lose. This week I'm going back to what got me to the top, and plan on acting like week 4 never happened.Other matchups include Hodor's Hodor continued slide down ADWC vs Impin Ain't Easy's rise up ADWC, a big brother vs a no longer winless little sister, and CB4H proving she does not suck vs WWJoffrey.
Here are your week 5 lines:
House Stark +6.1 +110
King's Landing Blackfyre -6.1 -130
Breastplate Stretchers -53.7 -450
Rabbit Town Conejas +53.7 +325
Hodor's Hodor +1.2 +100
Impin Ain't Easy -1.2 -120
Team The Unsullied -75.5 -500
The Southland +75.5 +375
White Walker Joffrey +14.3 +135
Crows Before Hoes -14.3 -155
Tonight's game is the Indianapolis Colts @ the Houston Oilers. Last weeks favorites went 3-2, for a 12-7 season record. Don't forget to check that waiver wire for any last minute steals. Good Luck!

The Battle Of The Bells
"Old Lord Merryweather's inaction had allowed the rebellion to take root and spread, and Aerys wanted someone young and vigorous to match Robert's own youth and vigor. "Too soon," Lord Tywin Lannister had declared when word of the king's choice had reached Casterly Rock. "Connington is too young, too bold, too eager for glory."The Battle of the Bells had proved the truth of that.""
One win is a fluke, two wins is a coincidence, three wins is a trend, four wins is getting annoying, but five wins is making a run at back to back titles. House Stark showed why he was last season's ALOIAF Champion with his 203-141 beat down of second ranked Kings Landing Blackfyre. Not only does House Stark get to keep the title of ALOIAF's last undefeated team, but is also this week's Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! You come at the king, you best not miss...well let's just say I wasn't even close. But you don't win the title in fall, just ask White Walker Joffrey.
In breaking news The Unsullied has finally gotten out of the last place cellar, and has moved all the way up to second place of AFFD. Sure Unsullied's points per game may be a tad soft, but in the end getting the W is what counts. Especially when those wins are division wins
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 6:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Blackfyre - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Brightroar - Rabbit Town
Nightfall - Rabbit Town
This week's matchup to watch has to be between the 2nd and the 3rd, Gonzales that is. Both WWJoffrey and The Southland are coming off huge momentum stopping losses, and will need a win to stop what could become another losing streak. So who is the best Orlando Geronimo Gonzales? We shall se...dare I say loser leaves name?
Other matchups include: doesn't suck as bad as she thought Crows b4 Hoes vs injury ravaged Rabbit Town Conejas, division rising The Unsullied vs division falling Hodor's Hodor, and House Stark trying for 6-0 vs "Peyton Manning is killing my fantasy team" Breastplate Stretchers.
Here are your week 6 lines:
The Unsullied -35.8 -330
Hodor's Hodor +35.8 +250
The Southland +1.5 +100
White Walker Joffrey -1.5 -120
Rabbit Town Conejas -4.2 -130
Crows Before Hoes +4.2 +110
King's Landing Blackfyre -9.5 -140
Impin Ain't Easy +9.5 +120
Breastplate Stretchers +40 +280
Team House Stark -40 -360
Tonight's game is the Atlanta Falcons @ the New Orleans Aints. Last weeks favorites went 4-1, for a 16-8 season record. Check that waiver wire for any bye week fill-ins. Good Luck!

The Dance Of The Dragons
“Asha climbed on a barrel so all of them could see her. “The wolves are coming down on us with their teeth bared. They will be at our gates before the sun comes up. Shall we throw down our spears and axes and plead with them to spare us?”“No.” Qarl the Maid drew his sword. “No,” echoed Lorren Longaxe. “No,” boomed Rolfe the Dwarf, a bear of a man who stood a head taller than anyone else in her crew. “Never.” And Hagen’s horn sounded again from on high, ringing out across the bailey.AHooooooooooooooooooooooo, the warhorn cried, long and low, a sound to curdle blood. Asha had begun to hate the sound of horns. On Old Wyk her uncle’s hellhorn had blown a death knell for her dreams, and now Hagen was sounding what might well be her last hour on earth. If I must die, I will die with an axe in my hand and a curse upon my lips.”
Coming into week 6 it would be fair to say that Division ADWC was the stronger of the divisions. House Stark was bulldozing the competition to a 5-0 start, AFFD division leader Blackfyre was on a two game losing streak, and besides Blackfyre every other team was under 500. But that is why we play the games, or so some will say. Division AFFD completely annihilated Division ADWC, going 4-1 for the week. Sure my, Blackfyre, win over Impin Ain't Easy wasn't so surprising, but the ladies of AFFD's wins were not expected to say the least. Rabbit Town finally got healthy and really put a beat down on formerly doesn't suck anymore-now sucks again Crows b4 Hoes, The Unsullied got a late Murray run to complete here comeback against Hodor's Hodor, and Breastplate Stretchers took down House (undefeated no more) Stark. Did everyone catch how House Stark tried to get out in front of that loss? (tisk tisk)
Every young man comes to that stage of their life when they feel they have surpassed the father...and then said father has to smack down that son. And oh boy did WWJoffrey put the smack down on The Southland. The only team from ADWC to show up was White Walker Joffrey with his 258.5-208.5 victory over Southland. WWJoffrey takes over the Valyrian Sword Blackfyre, and is this week's Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! House Stark better watch his back.
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 7:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Rabbit Town
Nightfall - Rabbit Town
This week's matchup to watch has to be between House (undefeated no more) Stark vs on the rise Unsullied. Since starting the season 0-3, The Unsullied has turned things around. Whether it's thru her waiver wire moves or what some perceive as having played against weaker competition, The Unsullied has pulled out of the rut of last place and is on the verge of a winning record. Will The Unsullied continue her climb up the leader board or will House Stark prove that last week was just an anomaly and get back to his winning ways.
Other notable matchups include: a battle of 3-3 between Breastplate Stretchers and Impin Ain't Easy, The Unsullied vs Hodor's Hodor both trying to right their seasons after another lose, and White Walker Joffrey vs Rabbit Town Conejas who's lineup may be healthy again and ready to return to her last season form.
Here are your week 7 lines:
Hodor's Hodor -41.2
The Southland +41.2
White Walker Joffrey -37
Rabbit Town Conejas +37
Crows Before Hoes +31.5
King's Landing Blackfyre -31.5
Impin Ain't Easy -58.4
Breastplate Stretchers +58.4
Team House Stark -14.9
The Unsullied +14.9
Thursday night's game is the Seattle Seachickens @ the San Francisco 49ers. Last weeks favorites again went 4-1, for a 20-9 season record. A lot of big names on byes this week, so check that waiver wire. Good Luck!

Ours Is The Fury
“Once the food was gone, there was nothing else for Arianne to do. She paced around her tower, twice and thrice and three times thrice. She sat beside the cyvasse table and idly moved an elephant. She curled up in the window seat and tried to read a book, until the words became a blur and she realized that she was crying again. Arys, my sweet, my white knight, why did you do it? You should have yielded. I tried to tell you, but the words caught in my mouth. You gallant fool, I never meant for you to die, or for Myrcella . . . oh, gods be good, that little girl . . .”
Nothing like waking up early Sunday morning. Brushing my teeth, a splash of water in to the face, going downstairs to catch up on all the pre game player news, and making final adjustments to my fantasy lineups...but the games have already started! Somehow my alarm clock was an hour early and my early game players were locked in. What a way to start week 7...
Any questions on who the favorites are going into the second half of the season were answered this week. Both division leaders, House Stark and Kings Landing Blackfyre, both ended the first half of the season with sound victories over Crows b4 Hoes and The Unsullied. Both teams look playoff bound and barring injuries (Foster) should be able to make a run at a title, or another title. White Walker Joffrey and The Southland had huge Monday Night come from behind wins, of a mere 9pts combined. The Southland reminded everyone that it's never too late to make moves to your lineup, and to not just accept defeat.
Speaking of accepting defeat, Breastplate Stretchers used a strategy never seen in ALOIAF. With the majority of her lineup on a bye week she would of had to drop a few really good players to fill in for just one week. Looking at her competitors matchups BS decided to take the strategic loss in hopes of keeping her standing within the division, and thus able to come into next week at full strength. While I usually discourage such tactics, I understand the logic behind it, and it appears to have worked. As BS is still in the top three of AFFD. You know who else was okay with this tactic? Impin Ain't Easy. To be fair Impin's final score would have beaten all but one other team this week, and his victory came fair and square. With the 214-79 victory, Impin Ain't Easy earned himself this week's Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! and is possibly showing that closing speed he had last season. I expect Impin as a force to be reckon with coming down the stretch.
On the bright side for Breastplate Stretchers, she got herself a nice Valyrian Sword. Being that it is week 8, and over half the season gone, I believe enough time has elapsed to award Heartsbane! Heartsbane is the Valyrian Sword awarded to the manager with the best team name, and only managers with new team names were in the running. White Walker Joffrey came oh so close to getting this sword, but Breastplate Stretchers (pulling a 180 on her team name from last season) gets the honor. Congratulations! A lot of sword movement occurred this week so check if you received/lost yours. Still plenty of times left in the season to earn yourself some Valyrian steel, or lose it.
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 8:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Dawn -Impin Ain't Easy
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Breastplate Stretchers
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
This week's matchup to watch is the only matchup between two teams with winning records. One manager needs the win to keep pace, and potentially overtake the top spot in his division. While the other manager needs the win to stay in the lead of his division, and one step closer to that important first round bye in the playoffs. Blackfyre is coming into this matchup wounded, can WWJoffrey take advantage and make this a sweep of his sons?
Other notable matchups include: House Stark vs The Southland. Who's fantasy team fate seems to be tied to his real team. No way does Aaron Rodgers lead Southland to an upset of House Stark without the Broncos losing too. Sophie's choice. Hodor's Hodor trying to take back his title of worst team vs Rabbit Town Conejas who will be more than happy to give it back to him. And Impin Ain't Easy vs The Unsullied. Both teams needing the win to hold on to that last playoff spot.
Here are your week 8 lines:
Rabbit Town Conejas -18.6 -200
Hoder's Hoder +18.6 +170
King's Landing Blackfyre +10.5 +120
White Walker Joffrey -10.5 -140
Breastplate Stretchers +20.2 +170
Crows Before Hoes -20.2 -200
The Unsullied. +31.2 +220
Impin Ain't Easy -31.2 -300
The Southland +42.4 +280
House Stark -42.4 -360
This week's Thursday night game is the Green Bay Packers @ the Denver Orange Crush. Last weeks favorites went 4-1, again, for a 24-10 season record. Check that waiver wire everybody. Good Luck!

The Giant Of Lannister
“You have a gift for making men smile,” Septa Lemore told Tyrion as he was drying off his toes. “You should thank the Father Above. He gives gifts to all his children.”
“He does,” he agreed pleasantly. And when I die, please let them bury with me a crossbow, so I can thank the Father Above for his gifts the same way I thanked the father below”
Overtime. Three matchups were yet to be decided going into the Monday Night football game. The three AFFD teams went in with the lead, but it was their ADWC competitors who had players left to play. House Stark's defender laid an egg and was never in it, but Crows b4 Hoes and WWJoffrey slowly but surly caught up. And then the game went into overtime. Crows came within one tackle or one more Cam completion, but Breastplate Stretchers was able to hold on by 1pt WWJoffrey was able to get his completion from Olsen and pulled off the victory over Blackfyre by 2pts.
Another week, another blowout. When Impin Ain't Easy wins he wins by a lot. That's back to back weeks of going over 200pts, and back to back weeks Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! As I pointed out last week, we've reached the time of the season where Impin seems to make his run up the standing. How high can he climb?
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 9:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Dawn -Impin Ain't Easy
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Breastplate Stretchers
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
With House Stark losing, and White Walker Joffrey getting the win, ADWC is now all tied up at the top. But it won't be that way for long. This week's matchup to watch has to be between Stark and WWJoffrey. WWJoffrey is pretty full of himself now that he's jumped to the top of the power rankings, but it's House Stark that "officially" holds the #1 spot where it counts. How long he holds it is another question entirely. Other notable matchups include: Impin Ain't Easy looking for 3 blowouts in a row vs Cb4H who desperately needs the win. Impin hasn't pulled any punches in the past, but only so much Cb4H can take. The Southland also gets a chance of revenge vs The Unsullied. The Unsullied pulled off the upset just a few weeks ago that led to her turn in form, for awhile. Maybe another win could give Unsullied another boost, or The Southland can solidify his own playoff spot.
Here are your week 9 lines:
Hodor's Hodor +74.9 +325
King's Landing Blackfyre -74.9 -450
Rabbit Town Conejas +42.1 +280
Breastplate Stretchers -42.1 -360
House Stark -1.4 +100
White Walker Joffrey +1.4 +100
The Southland +7.6 +120
The Unsullied -7.6 -140
Impin Ain't Easy -78.8 -450
Crows Before Hoes +78.8 +325
Tonight's Thursday night game is the Cleveland Browns @ the Cincinnati Bengals. Last week for the first time the underdogs came out on top while the favorites went 2-3, for a 26-13 season record. Check that waiver wire everybody. Good Luck!

The Black Dragon
“Daemon was the Warrior himself that day. No man could stand before him. He broke Lord Arryn’s van to pieces and slew the Knight of Ninestars and Wild Wyl Waynwood before coming up against Ser Gwayne Corbray of the Kingsguard. For near an hour they danced together on their horses, wheeling and circling and slashing as men died all around them. It’s said that whenever Blackfyre and Lady Forlorn clashed, you could hear the sound for a league around. It was half a song and half a scream, they say. But when at last the Lady faltered, Blackfyre clove through Ser Gwayne’s helm and left him blind and bleeding”
Seems like House Stark learned nothing watching The Game of Thrones. Just like Ned who went to Kings Landing, naive to the ways of politics in the south, and ended up with his head on a spike. This past week House Stark decided to question your commissioner's integrity, and that cannot be tolerated. Well "Power is Power", and like Ned, House Stark just got decapitated by a Lannister. Bravo Impin Ain't Easy. Bravo. When you play the game of thrones you win or you end up like House Stark. Just three weeks left and there's all but one playoff spot available. Besides Blackfyre, who has already clinched a playoff spot thank you, every team mathematically still has a shot. Some teams may need to win out and get a little lucky with other team losses, but technically it's still anybody season to win.Make that two weeks in a row that Crows Before Hoes has been the highest scoring team of the week. After losing by a point against Breastplate Stretchers and dropping to 2-6, all seemed lost for Cb4H. But with some crafty waiver wire moves, and a 230-146 Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! of Hodor's Hodor, Crows b4 Hoes seems to have righted the ship. Is it too late though?
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 11:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Dawn - King's Landing Blackfyre
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Hodor's Hodor
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
This week's matchup to watch is White Walker Joffrey vs Impin Ain't Easy. Both team have six wins, but that stat correction tie for WWJoffrey gives him a half game lead over Impin coming into the week. With House Stark facing both last, and second to last teams as two of his last three matches. This is a big win needed by both teams to keep pace if they want that top spot of ADWC. Other notable matchups include: The Southland looks to punch his playoff ticket this week vs Breastplate Stretchers who can knock out Rabbit Town from playoff contention with a win of her own. Cb4H vs The Unsullied both need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. And Blackfyre can end Rabbit Town's chance at returning to the championship game with a W.
Here are your week 11 lines:
Crows Before Hoes -3.4 -130
The Unsullied +3.4 +110
The Southland -44.1 -400
Breastplate Stretchers +44.1 +300
White Walker Joffrey -7.2 -140
Impin Ain't Easy +7.2 +120
Rabbit Town Conejas +1.7 +100
King's Landing Blackfyre -1.7 -120
Hoder's Hoder +51.6 +325
Team House Stark -51.6 -450
This weeks Thursday night game is the Tennessee Oilers @ the Jacksonville Jaguars. Last weeks favorites went 4-1, for a 33-16 season record. This is the last week for bye weeks so check that waiver wire. Good luck and go to bed!
Revenge Of Lady Stoneheart
“The outlaws parted as she came forward, saying no word. When she lowered her hood, something tightened inside Merrett’s chest, and for a moment he could not breathe. No. No, I saw her die. She was dead for a day and night before they stripped her naked and threw her body in the river. Raymund opened her throat from ear to ear. She was dead.
Her cloak and collar hid the gash his brother’s blade had made, but her face was even worse than he remembered. The flesh had gone pudding soft in the water and turned the color of curdled milk. Half her hair was gone and the rest had turned as white and brittle as a crone’s. Beneath her ravaged scalp, her face was shredded skin and black blood where she had raked herself with her nails. But her eyes were the most terrible thing. Her eyes saw him, and they hated.
“She don’t speak,” said the big man in the yellow cloak. “You bloody bastards cut her throat too deep for that. But she remembers.”
Ends last season getting eliminated from from the playoff race. Begins this season getting routed 144-182. Crows b4 Hoes' time in ALOIAF has been marred by her significant other who seems to spend his time in the league taking delight in tormenting Cb4H. I can only guess that Impin Ain't Easy is either one sadistic husband, or is an evil genius who gets in the dog house on purpose for some master plan as yet to be revealed... or who knows maybe the couch is just super comfortable. Anyways, The North Remembers and so does Crows b4 Hoes. As she took out that pent up rage that has built up against Impin, and unleashed it in a DeAngelo Williams ass whoopin. With Cb4H's last four remaining games being significantly 'easier' than Impin's, there's a chance for a repeat of last season. But a repeat for whom?
Who knew getting stat corrected from a loss to a tie would only be the beginning of what would be a great week for Blackfyre. With a 222.5-81.5 Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! over Hodor's Hodor, Blackfyre earned back the mighty Valyrian Sword Dawn, and got one step closer to that coveted playoff bye week. With only division games left on the schedule, AFFD is Blackfyre's to lose. Which is definitely possible.
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 10:
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Hodor's Hodor
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
This week's matchup to watch is between House Stark and Impin Ain't Easy. With first place on the line in week 9, Stark made easy work of White Walker Joffrey and is ready to make a pretender out of his next contender of ADWC. Impin Ain't Easy is out to prove last week was an aberration, and get a little separation between himself and that dreaded fourth seed.
(Let me just take a second to remind everyone that, like last season, the top three seeds of each division make the playoffs. So remember division games this time of the season are very important.)
Other notable matchups include: speaking of division games, this week features all but one! Blackfyre looking to lay the smackdown on The Unsullied. Cb4H needs a win to keep pace with the top three of her division, and Hodor needs to win for any chance at turning around his season. And Rabbit Town vs The Southland in exactly same scenario as just stated.
Here are your week 10 lines:
White Walker Joffrey -16.1 -175
Breastplate Stretchers +16.1 +155
King's Landing Blackfyre -39.2 -360
The Unsullied +39.2 +280
Crows Before Hoes -36.5 -330
Hodor's Hodor +36.5 +250
Rabbit Town Conejas -4.7 -130
The Southland +4.7 +110
Impin Ain't Easy -20.8 -200
House Stark +20.8 +1700
This weeks Thursday night game is the Buffalo IK Enemkpali's @ the New York Jets. Last weeks favorites went 3-2, for a 29-15 season record. Heading down the stretch everybody, so check that waiver wire. Good Luck!

The Mothers Mercy
“The day my father came to claim me, my mother did not wish for me to go. ‘She is a girl,' she said, ‘and I do not think that she is yours. I had a thousand other men.' He tossed his spear at my feet and gave my mother the back of his hand across the face, so she began to weep. ‘Girl or boy, we fight our battles,' he said, ‘but the gods let us choose our weapons.' He pointed to the spear, then to my mother's tears, and I picked up the spear”
Thankful. Thankful going into week 11 having already clinched a playoff spot. Thankful that with half a team on bye weeks, and all the backups performing terrible, that the game doesn't harm the season. Thankful that the team closest in the division, The Southland, also lost and doesn't take advantage for that first place bye week position. Thankful that Ben Roethlisberger is healthy and will continue to feed Antonio Bryant the ball on the way to a Blackfyre ALOIAF Championship. Mmmmm...Speaking of feeding, who's hungry!
Division A Feast For Dragons is now all locked up. Kings Landing Blackfyre, The Southland, and Breastplate Stretchers have all earned a trip to the 2015 ALOIAF Playoffs. But that doesn't mean there's nothing left to play for these next two weeks. With Southland and BPS both just a game and a half behind Blackfyre, that bye week is still anyone's to take. Sorry Rabbit Town and Unsullied, good luck in Consolation.
While AFFD's top three is set, Division A Dance With Crows is still anybody's ball game. Well anyone but House Stark. Not content with one championship, Stark has come into year two with a clear purpose to repeat, and is the first team of ADWC to secure their playoff spot. That still leaves two spots available with three teams to fill them. Unfortunately for Hodor's Hodor, House Stark was able to snake out a last second victory over you. Not only ending the chance for the biggest upset of the season, but also ending any chance for Hodor making the playoffs. That leaves White Walker Joffrey, Impin Ain't Easy, and Crows Before Hoes just a game behind...hmm sounds familiar.
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 12:
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Hodor's Hodor
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
It's time for some tasty turkey football! With three Thursday night games this week and no more bye weeks (thank goodness), the biggest concern this week will definitely be preparation. Very little time to study and make moves should lead to a more straightforward one teams best vs another teams best. Not much time to get too cute.
This week's matchup to watch is House Stark vs Crows b4 Hoes. House Stark needs to keep winning to stay on top of the division, and for Crows it's pretty simple, JUST WIN! A lose doesn't 'technically' end everything, but definitely means Crows will need a lot of help for any hopes of making the playoffs this season.
Other notable matchups include: Impin Ain't Easy trying to keep his playoff spot vs The Southland trying to take the top playoff spot, and Breastplate Stretchers who's also going for that top spot in the division vs Blackfyre looking to stay numero uno.
Here are your week 12 lines:
Impin Ain't Easy -19.3 -200
The Southland +19.3 +170
The Unsullied +22.8 +180
Rabbit Town Conejas -22.8 -220
House Stark +4.5 +110
Crows Before Hoes -4.5 -130
Breastplate Stretchers +62.7 +325
King's Landing Blackfyre -62.7 -450
Hodor's Hodor +16 +155
White Walker Joffrey -16 -175
This year's Thanksgiving games are the Philadelphia Boo Eagles @ the Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers @ the Dallas Jerry Jones, and the Chicago Bears @ the Green Bay Hoodies. Last weeks favorites went 3-2, for a 36-18 season record. A reminder that the trade deadline isnext Thursday the 3rd. There are only two games left this regular season so good luck, and Happy Thanksgiving!

The King Beyond The Wall
“When the man refused to answer her, Arianne seized a flagon of red wine and upended it over his head. The serving man retreated dripping, his face a mask of wounded dignity. My father means to leave me here to rot, the princess decided. Or else he is making plans to marry me off to some disgusting old fool and intends to keep me locked away until the bedding.
Arianne Martell had grown up expecting that one day she would wed some great lord of her father's choosing. That was what princesses were for, she had been taught . . . though, admittedly, her uncle Oberyn had taken a different view of matters. "If you would wed, wed," the Red Viper had told his own daughters. "If not, take your pleasure where you find it. There's little enough of it in this world. Choose well, though. If you saddle yourself with a fool or a brute, don't look to me to rid you of him. I gave you the tools to do that for yourself”
That's three out of four. A 230-164 Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! makes three out of the past four weeks Crows Before Hoes has scored over 220pts. Ever since the one point defeat to Breastplate Stretchers, Crows has gone on a four game winning streak and been one of the strongest teams of ALOIAF. Despite becoming a juggernaut, there's only one game left in the season and Crows is on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. Last season Crows lost the last playoff spot on the last week of the season to Impin Ain't Easy. Possible payback? Maybe?
Division A Feast For Dragons is set! Well pretty much. With Blackfyre winning the division and getting the bye week, not to brag, all that's left for BPS and Southland to play for is respect and seasonal rankings. So with nothing to see here, let's go to the other division that's much more interesting.
House Stark had a chance to win the division, gets steamrolled. White Walker Joffrey could have taken over the lead in the division, loses to last place Hodor's Hodor. Crows Before Hoes needed a win to stay in playoff hunt, gets the Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! Impin Ain't Easy needed a win to keep the last playoff spot, holds on for the win. So pretty much almost nothing got decided last week. This means that besides Hodor, every team in Division: A Dance With Crows, still has something to play for. And this is the last week of the season so it's everybody's last chance...
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 13:
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Hodor's Hodor
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
This week's matchup to watch is Crows b4 Hoes vs WWJoffrey. With WWJoffrey holding that tie over everybody in the division's head, this game is all about having a chance at the bye week. At least for WWJoffrey it is. For Crows this week is do or die. With a little help from Hodor (and last week showed it can be done) Crows still has a shot to make the playoffs. Wouldn't want to be Impin Sunday morning
Other notable matchups include: House Stark will try to rebound from the beatdown that was week 13. Stark hasn't looked like the early season repeat Champion these past few weeks and will look at the last place Rabbit Town as a nice springboard into the playoffs. Blackfyre goes for the regular season title (doesn't exist) vs Southland. And Impin Ain't Easy holding on to that last playoff spot vs Hodor's Hodor.
Here are your week 13 lines:
House Stark -.7 -110
Rabbit Town Conejas +.7 +100
King's Landing Blackfyre -78.6 -450
The Southland +78.6 +325
Impin Ain't Easy -14.5 -175
Hodor's Hodor +14.5 +155
Breastplate Stretchers +19.2 +170
The Unsullied -19.2 -200
Crows Before Hoes -1.1 -120
White Walker Joffrey +1.1 +100
This weeks Thursday night game is the Green Bay Munns @ the Detroit Lions. Last weeks favorites went 3-2, for a 39-20 season record. Remember that the trade deadline is tomorrow Dec 3 at 9am. All trades must be accepted before this deadline. There's only one game left in the regular season so good luck everyone. Hope everyone had a fun season, but we are far from over folks!

The Sword Of The Morning
“They were seven, facing three. In the dream as it had been in life. Yet these were no ordinary three. They waited before the round tower, the red mountains of Dorne at their backs, their white cloaks blowing in the wind. And these were no shadows; their faces burned clear, even now. Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning, had a sad smile on his lips. The hilt of the greatsword Dawn poked up over his right shoulder. Ser Oswell Whent was on one knee, sharpening his blade with a whetstone. Across his white-enameled helm, the black bat of his House spread its wings. Between them stood fierce old Ser Gerold Hightower, the White Bull, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.
“I looked for you on the Trident,” Ned said to them.
“We were not there,” Ser Gerold answered.
“Woe to the Usurper if we had been,” said Ser Oswell.
“When King’s Landing fell, Ser Jaime slew your king with a golden sword, and I wondered where you were.”
“Far away,” Ser Gerold said, “or Aerys would yet sit the Iron Throne, and our false brother would burn in seven hells.”
“I came down on Storm’s End to lift the siege,” Ned told them, “and the Lords Tyrell and Redwyne dipped their banners, and all their knights bent the knee to pledge us fealty. I was certain you would be among them.”
“Our knees do not bend easily,” said Ser Arthur Dayne.
“Ser Willem Darry is fled to Dragonstone, with your queen and Prince Viserys. I thought you might have sailed with him.”
“Ser Willem is a good man and true,” said Ser Oswell.
“But not of the Kingsguard,” Ser Gerold pointed out. “The Kingsguard does not flee.”
“Then or now,” said Ser Arthur. He donned his helm.
“We swore a vow,” explained old Ser Gerold.
Ned’s wraiths moved up beside him, with shadow swords in hand. They were seven against three.
“And now it begins,” said Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning. He unsheathed Dawn and held it with both hands. The blade was pale as milkglass, alive with light.
“No,” Ned said with sadness in his voice. “Now it ends.” As they came together in a rush of steel and shadow, he could hear Lyanna screaming. “Eddard!” she called. A storm of rose petals blew across a blood-streaked sky, as blue as the eyes of death.”
Last season, on the last weekend, Crows Before Hoes controlled her own fate in a "win and your in" situation. Crows lost. Impin Ain't Easy got the win, knocking his wife out of the playoffs. This season Crows was in an almost similar situation except "win and WITH HELP your in". Crows wins! But, again, Impin Ain't Easy wins, knocking his wife out of the playoffs. Again. I can only assume this is the last season this scenario plays out. Or else it might be Impin knocking his "ex-wife" from the playoffs.
Besides Crows' close game against WWJoffrey, all other matchups weren't really close. The good teams proved it by crushing the bad teams. With all but one scoring over 200pts. This includes Blackfyre's 227-149 win over The Southland. Not only did this victory clinch Blackfyre the best regular season record, and the Valyrian Sword: Widow's Wail, but also this season's last Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! Thats a league leading third! With three Mandely's Pies ALOIAF BLOWOUT! comes the league scoring title, and another Valyrian Sword: Dark Sister!
Other season ending Valyrian Sword winners are Crows b4 Hoes and Hodor's Hodor. Crows receives Jon Snow's Longclaw for having the most points scored against for the season. So while Crows was one of the top teams the second half of the season, unfortunately so was every team the week she faced them. Hodor receives the Valyrian Sword: Truth for scoring the fewest amount of points for the season...let's move on.
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 14:
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Hodor's Hodor
Dark Sister - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Longclaw - Crows Before Hoes
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
Truth - Hodor's Hodor
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Widow's Wail - Kings Landing Blackfyre
A Feast For Dragons Wild Card:
Breastplate Stretchers goes into the wild card round with the better record and having swept the regular season meetings against The Southland. Despite this, and his current three game losing streak, The Southland has scored more points this season the BPS and "probably" has the better game changers. BPS is only favored by a field goal so this matchup is probably going to come down to Monday night
Breastplate Stretchers -3.4 -120
The Southland +3.4 +100
A Dance With Crows Wild Card:
Despite Impin Ain't Easy coming into this matchup as the favorite with the better record, White Walker Joffrey actually holds both wins during the season. Their previous meetings ended very similarly with WWJoffrey destroying Impin by 193-169 and 194-166. Still Impin comes in on a three game winning streak and the favorite. Slightly.
White Walker Joffrey +4.3 +110
Impin Ain't Easy -4.3 -130
ALOIAF Consolation Playoff:
If you didn't make the playoffs it doesn't mean you have to stop playing. Watch The Unsullied try to defend her Consolation crown in a race to not be last!
The Unsullied -10 -140
Rabbit Town Conejas +10 +120
Crows Before Hoes -10.8 -140
Hodor's Hodor +10.8 +120
This weeks Thursday night game is the Minnesota Vikings @ the Arizona Cardinals. Last weeks favorites went 4-1, leading to a 43-21 season record. This means that most of the time the favorites going into the week won *cough* Impin, BPS *cough* Good luck everyone! House Stark and myself await the winners!

The Giant of Lannister
“Who in seven hells is this one?"
"The Lord Commander of the Kingsguard," Jaime returned with cold courtesy. "I might ask the same of you, my lady."
"I'm no lady. I'm the queen."
"My sister will be surprised to hear that."
"Lord Ryman crowned me his very self." She gave a shake of her ample hips. "I'm the queen o' whores.
"No, Jaime thought, my sweet sister holds that title too.”
To those who made the playoffs to lose in the Wild Card round "Congratulations! and Bye Bye". While the final scores looked one-sided, the games were actually very close. It wasn't until Sunday night that Impin Ain't Easy and Breatsplate Stretchers pulled away. Southland's studs showed up, but was completely let down by his role players who all underperformed their projections. BPS' role players also let her down but not as bad as The Southland, and that turned out to be all she needed. In almost the opposite scenario White Walker Joffrey's role players showed up, and his studs, put politely, crapped the bed. WWJoffrey needed Impin to stumble as well, and he didn't. Impin came in, handled his business, and got the W. BPS and Impin's wins take them to the Division Champion ship, one game away from the coveted Iron Throne, where they find Blackfyre and House Stark rested, waiting, and ready for them.
Some of you might be playing for other things like 5th place, not being last, or he'll just damn pride! And to you guys I say keep playing and making moves, but let's be real it's about them titles. And Valyrian Swords!
There weren't any new Sword winners but for those keeping track here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 15:
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Hodor's Hodor
Dark Sister - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Longclaw - Crows Before Hoes
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
Truth - Hodor's Hodor
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Widow's Wail - Kings Landing Blackfyre
A Feast For Dragons Division Championship:
Bresasyplate Stretchers started the season strong but fell to the juggernaut that was Blackfyre in week 3 241-200. Then BPS went into a Manning downward spiral and got trounced 211-158 in week 12 by Blackfyre. Having moved onto a younger man in Winston, BPS has won the last 5 of her 7 games and is looking for revenge on her once favorite son. Still comes in as a BIG 'dog though.
Breastplate Stretchers +58.1
King's Landing Blackfyre -58.1
A Dance With Crows Division Championship:
Impin's slick moves this past week were to kind of bridge the gap between himself and the top two teams of his division, and boy did they work out for him. It's easy to forget about House Stark with him being on the bye week, but Impin comes into this matchup as the FAVORITE! No respect to our former champion. In their first week 2 matchup Stark spanked Impin 215-136, but in their week 10 rematch Impin completely turned the tables with his late season hot streak and won handedly 198-135. So in this rubber match, who knows?
Impin Ain't Easy -6.3
House Stark +6.3
ALOIAF Consolation Championship:
The Unsullied did what no one thought she could, returning to the Consolation Championship to defend her crown. And fitting for a returning Consolation Champion, Unsullied comes in as the underdog. Cause there really is no other way. Crows Before Hoes is in his matchup too, but doubt she's out here bragging about it.
The Unsullied +16.5
Crows Before Hoes -16.5
In other matchups this week are also White Walker Joffrey vs White Walker Joffrey Jr, oh I mean The Southland, in the coveted 5th place matchup. And in the most important game of the week: Hodor's Hodor looks to not be last again! vs he unlucky Rabbit Town Conejas. Or who knows maybe he wants to defend his loser title?
The Unsullied +16.5
Crows Before Hoes -16.5
Rabbit Town Conejas +13.3
Hodor's Hodor -13.3
This weeks Thursday night game is Ketchup vs Mustard (you'll get it when you watch the game) the Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ the St Louis Rams. Last weeks favorites won out so watch out underdogs! We're one game away from that beautiful Iron Throne, so good luck and may the injuries be in your favor.

The Battle of the Redgrass Field
“A great battle is a terrible thing ... but in the midst of blood and carnage, there is sometimes also beauty, beauty that could break your heart. I will never forget the way the sun looked when it set upon the Redgrass Field... ten thousand men had died, and the air was thick with moans and lamentations, but above us the sky turned gold and red and orange, so beautiful it made me weep to know that my sons would never see it”
A Feast For Dragons Division Champion:
Breastplate Stretchers 151.5
King's Landing Blackfyre 258
Coming into the season, the spine of BPS' team would of been Manning, Gordon, and Beckham. Gordon turned out to be a bust. Being put on the IR was symbolic really since he's been putting up IR numbers all season. Beckham, while carrying the team most of the season, melted down when it counted. And Manning is...well...old. It was a commendable run, but in the end BPS couldn't match the firepower that is Blackfyre.
A Dance With Crows Division Champion:
Impin Ain't Easy 157
House Stark 214
After storming his way into the playoffs, and climbing all the way to second in the Power Rankings, Impin put in an all right performance. Impin's players didn't play bad per se, but in no way did any one go over their projections. Except for two receivers who scored over 30pts, oh wait, those points were on his bench. Impin's starting receivers were only able to gain a tiny 3pts combined! Yikes. Unfortunately if you're gonna play the reigning champ you have to get more out of your receivers than 3pts. Impin didn't and Inpin's done.
ALOIAF Consolation Championship:
The Unsullied 166
Crows Before Hoes 204
The start of the second half of the season Crows has been arguably the second best team of the league, and maybe the best team of Division ADWC. Unfortunately this happened too late for a playoff run, but not a Consolation playoff run! Crows was able to topple last season's Consolation Champion The Unsullied, and take over the coveted title of Queen of the Losers! If it's any consolation Crows' score wouldn't have beaten House Stark's score, so she wouldn't have made the finals anyways. Ha consolation I just got that!
In the other two matchups White Walker Joffrey took out his frustration on The Southland, Hodor was able to not be last place again by beating Rabbit Town, and blah blah blah nobody cares.
Here are your ALOIAF Valyrian Sword owners thru week 16:
Blackfyre - White Walker Joffrey
Brightroar - Hodor's Hodor
Dark Sister - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Dawn - Kings Landing Blackfyre
Heartsbane - Breastplate Stretchers
Lamentation - The Unsullied
Longclaw - Crows Before Hoes
Nightfall - Breastplate Stretchers
Truth - Hodor's Hodor
Vigilance - Rabbit Town
Widow's Wail - Kings Landing Blackfyre
A League of Ice & Fire Championship:
This matchup is two season in the making. Last season God of T&W was bounced just one game from the championship game. House Stark obviously wasn't and took home the Iron Throne. This season House Stark didn't rest on his championship, but immediately looked for the repeat. Leading Division ADWC from the get go and never giving up the top spot once he had it. Even when it seemed that he had been passed up, if not in the main standing but in the power rankings, House Stark showed that If you come at the king, you best not miss.
Taking a different route, God of T&W changed into Kings Landing Blackfyre. Blackfyre looked to destroy the league and avenge last season's semifinal loss. And in most ways Blackfyre has succeeded. Scoring the most points, having the best record, biggest Manderley's Pies BLOWOUT!, and the most Manderley's Pies BLOWOUTS! All that's left is the Iron Throne to top off what would be the best team to ever play in ALOIAF...
House Stark +43.7 +300
King's Landing Blackfyre -43.7 -400
This weeks Thursday night game is the battle of the, no one wants you, San Diego Chargers @ the, hopefully they'll move to St Louis, Oakland Raiders. There will also be another special Thursday night game presented on Saturday, or whatever they're calling it, the Washington Football Team @ the Philadelphia Eagles. This is it folks, the battle for the Iron Throne has reached its final battle. Good luck! Talking to myself.
